WEDNESDAY 13 To Begin Filming 'Weirdo A-Go-Go' This Weekend

December 14, 2006

Wednesday 13 (ex-MURDERDOLLS) will begin filming a new video project this weekend. The show, entitled "Weirdo A-Go-Go", will feature the campy and morbid sense of humor that any fans of Wednesday 13 can expect. In the first two episodes, Wednesday 13 hosts clips and trailers of cheap horror flicks, along with performing schlocky but witty skits with his strange and wacky sidekicks. The program promises to resurrect the tradition of Saturday morning TV shows that Wednesday 13 grew up on — the random creations of Sid and Marty Krofft and Pee Wee's Playhouse mixed with the comedic approach of horror hosts Commander USA, Elvira, and Zacherely.

Commented Wednesday 13: "I'm really, really excited about 'Weirdo A Go-Go'. It's a departure from music for me, but not a departure from my sense of humor. This show is going to be a lot of fun, the ideas and scenes planned for the show are so out of control and ridiculous that I can't even believe it myself.... so be prepared to be confused."

The project, to be distributed by Horror High, LLC, will be shot by Rafa of Core Entertainment, Inc.Rafa is most noted for the video and web site projects he has done for AVENGED SEVENFOLD, EVANESENCE, ROB ZOMBIE, DISTURBED, STATIC-X and the Dimebag tribute bracelet.

"Weirdo A-Go-Go" is slated for a late spring/early summer 2007 release.

As previously reported, WEDNESDAY 13's video for the song "Home Sweet Homicide" has been posted online at this location. The track comes off the singer's sophomore solo effort, "Fang Bang", which was released in the U.S. on Sept. 12 via Restless Records/Rykodisc. The follow-up to 2005's "Transylvania 90210: Songs of Death, Dying and the Dead" was mixed by Bob Marlette, who has previously worked with such artists as BLACK SABBATH, ALICE COOPER and KISS. The European version of the album contains a different bonus cut: a cover of MOTÖRHEAD's "R.A.M.O.N.E.S." The Japanese edition features the same track listing as the European CD, along with an extra bonus song: "Good Day To Die".

Wednesday 13 and his former touring bassist, Rayen "Kid Kid" Belchere, recently released their outlaw country project BOURBON CROW (MySpace page). The single, "Alcohol Is Awesome", off their debut CD, "Highway to Hangovers", was recently the most request song on PunkRadioCast's.com Top 40 request show.
